Sara Harelson

My name is Sara Harelson and I am senior at the University of Arizona majoring in journalism and minoring in natural resources. I was born in Carlsbad, California.  Although I grew up never too far from the water, I found myself falling in love with the desert after moving to Tucson.  Honestly I don’t know if I’ll be able to leave after I graduate.

There are few things I love more than music, literature, and the outdoors.  I’ve traveled the country attending different music festivals and concerts.

Sometimes I feel like I was born with a book in my hand and never really stopped reading after that.  Every birthday my grandma sent me books as my gifts.  I grew up taking road trips from California to Arizona and can remember looking out the window and wondering what was out there.  It sparked my sense of adventure.

Coming from a family of journalists, I am incredibly passionate about writing.  Nothing makes me happier than crafting words for a story and seeing them come together on the page.  This same family is the one that has supported me in pursuing every one of my dreams.

I can’t wait to share my stories and take you on my adventure with me!
