Elisabeth Morales

My name is Elisabeth Morales and I am a senior studying Journalism and Intercultural Studies at the University of Arizona. Although I have lived in Arizona my whole life I never once found myself longing to live elsewhere - even when it’s a bazillion degrees outside. There is something so serene about the desert and I feel incredibly grateful to have Arizona as my home.

When not working on school or admiring my home state, I can be found reading some of my favorite authors such as J.K. Rowling and Tom Wolfe or with my dogs, Coach, a 12 year old dachshund, and Jonah, a 5 year old terrier mix.  Despite his age, Coach has always loved going on adventures with me whether it be hiking or going for runs with my Mom.  He never lets his elongated spine never get in the way! Jonah on the other hand, isn’t as big a fan even though he has youth on his side.  I find dogs to be the perfect companion to take with me along on any outdoor experience - a real win-win for both dog and human!

As for this adventure, I can’t wait to improve my writing skills all the while exploring the great state of Arizona. I look forward to helping others fall in love with the state that I hold so near and dear to my heart!
